Backing up from a Windows box is full of problems. Windows/Samba
does not distinguish a soft link from a real file. This is especially
bad if you have any directories softlinked. Also, I had problems with
upper case filenames - this is probably because of my backup software
(from Iomega). It creates a file list and apparently doesn't preserve
the case when it goes to read the file.
