I too found this - rachel will be moving back to the updated Friedl driver sometime tomorrow at a guess. The NFS was much more stable, but also much much more slow. (I used to have to wait about 10 seconds for a copy of the kernel to be copyed to the NFS mounted /ftp area - with the new driver, it was about a minute).
