You will have to hit control-alt-Fkey to switch between virtual consoles.  
Control-alt-delete will not cause the system to halt.  Enabling 
control-alt-delete in pcvt will not give you a very nice result as it 
just the same as using the power switch to shut down the system.  Too bad 
syscons doesn't support the 132 column video mode which is the only 
redeeming quality of pcvt.

Switch back to syscons. :)
