: 1) Can I switch between FreeBSD and Windows 95?
Yes, by rebooting and choosing the other OS. FreeBSD comes with a nice
small boot-manager
: 2) Can I do Win95 file maintenance through FreeBSD?
Not that I know.
: 3) Can I forget about Win95 and run things such as spreadsheets, word
: processors, and internet tools direct from FreeBSD?
Internet-Tools, yes of course!
Spreadsheets: sc, xspread both free, but I guess not that you
are looking for
wingz commercial, runs under Linux Emulation
of FBSD 2.2 very nice product
Wordprocessor: TeX, groff both free but there are people who don't
like them (what I can't understand :-) )
There is a fine Office Suite from Applix for Linux. Runs well
under the Linux Emulation of FBSD 2.2. Gives you all you need
Spreadsheet, Wordprocessor, Businessgraphics and so on..
