I tried my driver on a 386/33 i have lying around, and I get performance
roughly equivalent to dave river's; on my 486/50, i get numbers that are 4
or more times better. needless to say, I think that the driver I posted a
few weeks ago needs more testing. the excellent (400k/sec+) read performance
is at the cost of lousy transmit speed. I am working on a composite of my
driver and the Friedl driver that should show the best of both worlds.
film at 11.
sorry about the shrill tone of the previous post.
