Your router will be the other side of the PPP link. The "default
router" is essentially who you should send packets to when you don't
have a specific route. If you try to set up a router that's beyond
the other side of the ppp link, you'll need to have a static route
to that router (via the IP on the other side of the link). There's
no mileage to be gained in doing this though.

The flags on mine are UGSc. The 'S' just means it's a static route.

The ppp0 entry in sysconfig after install is now gone compliments of
Jordan. I've updated the info about connecting to an ISP in the man
page. If you're interested, you could get a copy of

ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/FreeBSD-current/src/usr.sbin/ppp/ppp.8

and run

tbl ppp.8 | groff -Wall -mtty-char -Tascii -man | col

If this doesn't help, can you post your config files ?

Stands for "Adjust Kernel Time Zone". Obvious really ;)
