The disk is a Quantum Atlas II. According to the mode page dumps, auto read and write reallocation is enabled. Can anyone tell me how to decode this particular error? I presume the info is a block number in hex. Also, is there a way to instruct the disk to replace the sector? (I'm looking for the equivalent of SunOS format's repair command.) -- Alan Judge Phone: +353-1-6046901 Indigo Internet Services Fax: +353-1-6046948
