I agree about the part that the Win95 environment is a major poo-poo
(just ask my girlfriend who had a hell of a time recovering her
computer after the installation of some sound bytes managed to
completely trash the mouse driver and bootblocks), but let's not
forget that free OSes are prospering today because of a cheap and
powerful platform that usually comes with a crappy OS...in other
words, we're riding Microsoft's coattails. :)
