I have just gotten an old 486DX66 running FreeBSD 2.1.7.1 with a Boca BB1008 (8 port serial card). It is working great and I am much impressed with the quality of the installation tools. Anyway, I want to use the system just like I currently use some terminal servers, that is, I have some high-numbered ports each assigned to an IP port. To connect to a given physical port, I just telnet to the assigned port something like this: telnet termserver 2002 This works well for what I am trying to do, but I have not clue on how to get the same functionality with unix in general or FreeBSD in particular. I tried to use rsh and tip, but I got back an error message that tip must be used from an interactive shell. (rsh bsdhost tip port1) Any ideas or comments would be welcome! Dabe
