The letters are (more or less) randomly assigned to the partitions, anyway. Like for example my new P133 toy box which has a 2gig ide drive, an Adaptec SCSI-controller which may or may not have my ZipDrive attached to it and an Atapi CD-ROM. To further complicate things the hard disk still contains a primary DOS slice, a secondary DOS slice and a BSD slice. If the ZipDrive is attached an powered on, the order is primary (C:), the ZipDisk (D:), secondary (E:) and CD-ROM (F:). If the ZipDrive is not attached nor powered up, the secondary DOS becomes D: and the CD becomes E:. Greetings, Ripley -- H.
