Well, seems there is no /kernel around, but i bet you already knew
this. :)

If you're uncertain whether /kernel is the only missing file, it's
probably best to reinstall from scratch.  If you think it's the only
one, try to boot /kernel.GENERIC instead.  You can later copy this
file to /kernel.
