The root of the problem is likely to be something else: the original
poster couldn't even install from DOS. What is the FreeBSD version that
is being installed? From IDE hard drive? The size of the DOS partition
and of the entire hard sisk? Is the drive using translation at the
moment? Are you installing on a different partition of the same disk or
on a different disk?
