The boot manager is installed in the MBR of another disk (500 MB), which contains mainly some DOS stuff. Now everything seems to work fine if I tell my box explicitely where to look for the new kernel (by typing "sd(3,a)/kernel" during boot up procedure) and if I don't remove the old disks from my machine. - How can I prevent the boot manager from looking for the old hard disks ? - How can I tell the boot manager which is the default disk for FreeBSD ? Any advices ? Thanks in advance, Torri
