But your argument doesn't make much sense: switch-to-switch
interconnections are already 90 % digitalized anyway, thus benefiting
from this regardless of whether the customer uses a digital or an
analog line.  So it's indeed only the fanout technology that changes.
A change from an analog to an ISDN line takes some two hours.

But no _integrated_ technology.  They've got better technology for raw
IP transfers (and ISDN really sucks for this), but you can't use the
same line for a phone call then.

I don't argue that most of the US tariffs are cheaper; only long-
distance calls on public phones are surprisingly expensive. :)
