Hello

I am running FreeBSD-2.1.5
The kernel was remade with XSERVER and UCONSOLE options on.
The video card is 9FX-330/1Mb Ram (RAMDEC/chip not known to me).
Monitor is 14" CTX (NI-SVGA?).

I am trying to install XFree86. Configure goes OK, mostly
default values -- except the mouse device part. Chose
 /dev/tty00
startx complains about `fatal error: can't open /dev/tty00',
seems ok (there is none). Chose
 /dev/mouse (is a link to /dev/cuaa0)
startx starts and screen goes blank and machine crashes.

How can I make device /dev/tty00? On a NetBSD, I did
with major 8, minor 0, character special, access 666, with
owner uucp, group wheel and XFree86 is working.
( crw-rw-rw- 1 uucp wheel 8, 0 Mar 12 09:57 /dev/tty00 )

In FreeBSD, I can't find an entry in list of /dev/MAKDEV, the only
entries are for ttyd0 etc. How to make /dev/tty00?

If some body out there is running X-windows (most of you are!),
please provide some insight..

Thanks,
Ishwar Rattan
