They're removing support for MIPS and PPC because less that 1% of the installed user base uses them... Microsoft is removing support for TWO of the FOUR platforms built into NT... Almost NO ONE runs Nt on a PPC or MIPS processor anymore.. And as of now, the mainstream of PPC computers belongs to Apple; Macs won't run NT anyway. What's the point of supporting those systems?
