NT will still support the DEC Alpha. They're removing support for MIPS
and PPC because less that 1% of the installed user base uses them...
About 15% is DEC Alpha, and the other 84% belongs to Intel.

I think you should listen to yourself... You obviously don't know that
much either, IMHO. Microsoft is removing support for TWO of the FOUR
platforms built into NT... Almost NO ONE runs Nt on a PPC or MIPS
processor anymore.. And as of now, the mainstream of PPC computers
belongs to Apple; Macs won't run NT anyway. What's the point of
supporting those systems?
