But still the difference is small (subjective opinion). Reasons for getting two smaller-capacity drives instead of one larger-capacity drive: 1) SCSI bus throughput may be improved. Remember that you're limited by the average transfer rate of each drive, the the throughput of the bus for your disk traffic. Putting everything on one drive limits you to <10MB/sec in most cases. 2) (some level of) fault tolerance.
