I am using a HP DAT drive and it works fine for me after I got a
new one because the first didn' t work at all. In the meantime
I had an Exabyte drive which didn't work well. I never had problems
with the HP drive for more than one year though. And I am reading
from some of my tapes quite often (i.e. those where I store tons
of source code).

cheers,
-Gunther
