Using Redhat 4.1 upgraded to a 2.0.30 kernel and FreeBSD 2.1.7.1 Can export and mount Linux file systems from and to any Linux system. Can export and mount BSD file systems from and to the BSD box (only have one box). Can export the BSD file system and mount it on a Linux system. Can NOT export a Linux file system and mount it on the BSD box. Error reported from the BSD box is premission denied, with no errors mentions in /var/log/messages. The Linux box however reports: Apr 28 22:28:03 gaia nfsd[23858]: NFS request from chatserver originated on insecure port, psychoanalysis suggested in the /var/log/messages log! An linux box can mount the exported file system that is causing the error from the BSD system. Can anyone suggest hope to correct this problem? Like it or not I MUST mount the exported Linux file system on the BSD box. I'm sure I'm doing something stupid as I've been using Linux for about a year and FreeBSD about a week, but I have no time to learn I've got to get this file system mounted (I've been working on this for most the the week!). Please cc me at davidm@them.com as well as responding to this as the news server I read from is a bit flaky fright now and I'd truly hate to miss a reply. TIA
