It's not an X[11] application.  I think that the 'x' means "eXtended"
NTP protocol.

It's relatively easy to setup and point off to an existing accurate time
source.  Once you have it running on one machine, setup the other to
perform an ntpdate ever hour or so (via cron) to keep the time from
drifting!
