Your ftp server blows me off because >I'm coming in through psi.net. Sorry, I don't know the reason for this. But there is another way how the files there can be accessed -> email. Here is a short "how to do" : Our anonymous FTP-archive is accessible via electronic mail. Send commands (see below) in the mail body to the following address: ftp-mailer@ftp.informatik.tu-muenchen.de Commands can be given in either upper or lower case and you may specify more than one command. HELP send a help file (what you currently read) PATH a_valid_RFC822_return_address The default email address to which replies are sent, is taken from the "Reply-To:" field in the mail header. If there is no such field the "From:" field is used. You can override these two defaults by adding the PATH command to your mail; e.g. PATH your!email!address PATH your@email.address INDEX Get an index of our archive, i.e. a recursive directory listing. This is currently about 600 KB large, and will give 13 mails of 1000 lines to be sent. GET INDEX Same as INDEX. GET <file> Get <file> from the archive where <file> is a relative or absolute path within our archive-tree. <file> will always be interpreted as a plain file and not as a directory! To get all files in a directory you can use wildcards as in the third example below, but please be careful using them as you will get ALL matching files. Examples: GET /pub/news/comp.sources.unix/1/slice..v13i073.Z GET net/net-tools/netdig.3.5.shar.Z GET pub/news/alt.sources/psutils/* GET pub/X11/contrib/*/*/*.desc The mail server will uuencode files and send them in 1000 line chunks. The actual sending of the uuencoded files will be delayed until non-buisness hours. A notification that your request arrived here and what will be sent back to you is sent out immediately. EXIT QUIT END Stop further processing of the mail body; useful if your mailer automically appends a signature to your mail. Send comments, suggestions, complaints and donations to ftp-owner@ftp.informatik.tu-muenchen.de Good Luck!
