Depending on how much you already know, "man route" should fill in the gaps. If this is beyond your knowledge, try the pedantic ppp primer (www.freebsd.org/documentation) - it's got a lot of good stuff to say in this area. If it's still too much, I'd suggest getting a hold of a tutorial-type book by O'Reilly & Associates.
