An 'apropos tty' didn't show it either. > > Perfectly hidden ... :-) Well, actually, no reference belongs in any of those pages you mentioned. ;-) sio is a serial *driver* which could be entirely different on any given OS (on NetBSD it's the "com" driver for instance) and even on the same OS (you might have a Cyclades serial card, say, or a Cronyx - both different from sio but usable with stty, termios, etc).
