Well, I won't argue the evil of a non-functioning sysinstall, but I think that people are also perhaps doing the "non-UNIX" thing and stopping once sysinstall fails to install their packages, forgetting that before sysinstall's package installer ever existed, people were happily running "pkg_add" on package files. In fact, sysinstall has gotten too bloated, and some things (like the Apache web configurator) are being taken out again. They should have been part of a system administration tool from the start, never part of the initial installation tool. But in any case: "Warty things too big, start over." :-) [Extra credit to those who can identify the reference. :)] -- - Jordan Hubbard FreeBSD core team / Walnut Creek CDROM.
