I have a system which runs several with several ip aliases on its ethernet
interface to enable virtual web hosting. I've noticed, however, that user ppp
with the -alias -auto options doesn't delete the dynamically assigned ip
address. This creates a problem as it causes ppp to dial out right after a
connection times out, adding another alias for the system.

The question is, has anyone managed to run ppp -alias -auto with an aliased ip
address on another interface? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
