I've some problems with a FreeBSD 2.2.1 system configured to be a NIS
client; master server and slave servers run on DECalpha DEC UNIX systems.

No problem to start ypbind, no problem to get the NIS information via
`ypcat' or e.g. `id <userid>', no problem to do a `rlogin' from trusted
hosts, but no chance to log in as a NIS user in any other way.

The password always appears to be wrong. Could that be a problem with
the special `crypt' algorithm compared to other UNIX systems?

Is there any chance to get the whole thing run?

Thnaks for any help!
