Just a quickie,

I get bind() errors on about any software (syslogd, startx/xinit,
etc ...) that cause these programs to just exit. I don't have an
ethernet card so the kernel doesn't configure anything at bootup time,
is this my problem? I remember reading in the BUGLIST that to fix
this problem with talkd, one just has to make sure their /etc/host
contains an entry like '127.1 myhostname'. This didn't appear to
fix the problem, any other ideas?

Thanks!

Russ
