I don't have an ethernet card so the kernel doesn't configure anything at bootup time, is this my problem? I remember reading in the BUGLIST that to fix this problem with talkd, one just has to make sure their /etc/host contains an entry like '127.1 myhostname'. This didn't appear to fix the problem, any other ideas? Thanks! Russ
