No offense, but those are probably not very good reasons to switch.
If you're really just interested in checking out FreeBSD, then a word
to the wise would be to *not* demolish your linux partition, but
rather install freebsd on a different disk or partition and see how
you like it. There are reasons why FreeBSD is better, and there are
reasons why it is worse. I'm running linux now and there are things I
miss about FreeBSD. When I was running FreeBSD there were things I
missed about Linux.
