I've tryed several gcc - flags as -mno-abicalls -mno-half-pic -fpic -fPIC but I can't get rid of the problem. I use the gcc-2.7.2.2.tar.gz and g77-0.5.20.tar.gz distributions and I've done all the steps, which are recommended in the gcc and g77 INSTALL and README files. I use the NetBSD of ftp.netbsd.org /pub/NetBSD/arch/pmax, all of snapshot-1997-03-16. I use x11r6.3 which can be found in the directory ported-software. I'm not very experienced with compiling compilers, but perhaps YOU are ? Regards, Johannes Zellner joze@krisal.physik.uni-karlsruhe.de
