But instead of getting a gdk lib not found I now get ld: no shared -lXext.6.1 available Now I assume this is because the command line doesn't include -L/usr/X11/lib but I've spent a rather long time trying to locate the call to this command in the makefile but have been unsuccessful. the actual command begins like this: ld -Bshareable -o .libs/libgtk.so.1.0 gtkaccelerator.lo... using version gimp 0.99.9 -- -- mark heath | signature SPAMMED to avoid base 64 TWFpbCBhZGRyZXNzIG5vdCBpbmNsdWRlZCwgWW91IGp1c3QgbmV2ZXIga25vdyB3aGF0IHRoZXNl IEJPVFMgYXJlIApjYXBhYmxlIG9mLgo=
