At a wild guess, I'd look at your keymap (in /etc/sysconfig). Maybe it's corrupt and one of the letters in your password is being mapped wrongly.... Apart from this, there's no reason I can figure that you can type in a password in single-user and not in multi-user ! > Thanks, > > Q.
