When I invoke emacs I am told cant find file libgcc.a.261.0 When I go
to the directory /usr/lib/compat the file is there. I then invoked as
root ldconfig -m /usr/lib/compat and am still told cant find file.
Everything else runns great. Xwindows etc. Is it me or have I won
hardware lottery where I have the only comp config that wont take this.
I run a 166 Pentium, Maxtor 2 gig hard drive, 32 meg ram 12x Mitsumi
cdrom, Diamomd Stealth 3D 3000 4meg vram, sound blaster 16 (though it is
not configured into bsd I would hope this would not creat file problems)

Thankls for any help and sorry to repost as a different message. The
first name on second look seems wrong.
