Yes, solved ! Thanks and as usual, RTFM .

What does not appears in INSTALL is that install needs a swap area on
network (and start mountd with -p option on my server).

Why single user mode needs swap ? Maybe it's because my workstation 
is low in RAM ?

After this all works nicely :)
