The command "ypcat -k auto_home" gives the complete list of that automounter map. However, when I type "amd /home auto_home", AMD logs an error message about the NIS map; for example, May 19 16:19:58 atun amd[226]/user: No source data for map auto_home OTOH, from the info documentation I infer that the formats of AMD maps and Sun's automounter maps are radically different. My auto_home map has entries of the form <user> <file server>:<user's directory> The AMD maps are very different (I think!).
