Just a quick note to "warn" people about a mistake in the
2.2.1 ppp.conf.sample file. HISADDR is *not* usable here.
It should be changed to an actual IP Number - the same
number as the second arg to "set ifaddr".
(I've received a few questions lately to which this has
been the answer).
If HISADDR is used here, the "add 0 0 HISADDR" silently
fails. The result is that no default route is added
and for most people, the "-auto" switch doesn't seem
to work.
This is fixed in 2.2.2.
