That's it. They contained the source to the kernel. One directory contained the device drivers and the other contained everything else. I forget which was which, but I think "ken" was the kernel source and "dmr" held the device drivers. I have a faint memory of trying to figure out what dmr stood for. Device Managment Routines? I can only assume the names came as a result of who was working on what code. Its been a long time, so I might have the path wrong.
