I have written some drivers and patches for NetBSD/i386 1.2 to support MCA-bus PS/2s. Currently I have an MCA bus driver, miscellaneous PS/2-specific patches and driver (actually bus-specific driver front-ends) for the AHA-1640 and 3Com 3C523. I've no idea how similar your NCR machine is to a PS/2 but it would be interesting to find out.
