I am looking to buy a laser printer and can spend around a thousand bucks (give or take a hundred). I need HP Series II or III compatibility for some DOS applications I have and I would like the ability to print postscript. I'm not interested in color. Can anyone make some suggestions as to what printers I might look at? I'm fairly ignorant about what is out there (I've seen laser printers from Panasonic, Epson, and Brother all under a grand - are there gotchas with any of these [don't have model numbers at hand]). I have heard the HP III laserjets may come down in price since they are being discontinued - comments? Any help is appreciated. I would prefer email and will be glad to summarize if there is any interest. regards, mb -- Mark Boolootian booloo@llnl.gov +1 510 423 1948 Disclaimer: booloo speaks for booloo and no other.
