There's indeed a lot to do in order to create a CTM distribution server (unlike CVSup, where you can basically turn every machine into a distribution server within 5 minutes), but it's not much work for a client. > Is this okey? or is there a better way? `make world' is one possible way, but... > Will make world change all the setting in the /etc directory? ...it leaves a little hand-work. None of the /etc files will be automatically touched, ever. This leads to the funny situation that my main development machine has never ever seen a file named /etc/sysconfig. It still runs with the same good ol' FreeBSD 1.1.5.1 /etc/rc... and now sysconfig is gone and has been replaced by /etc/rc.conf. :-) -- cheers, J"org joerg_wunsch@uriah.heep.sax.de -- http://www.sax.de/~joerg/ -- NIC: JW11-RIPE Never trust an operating system you don't have sources for. ;-)
