Default BIOS settings except I needed to lock the IDE HD channels down to "Mode 3" from "Auto" (ASUS P55T2P4 MB). |> Which one is the best to use with FreeBSD or Linux, |> and win95 ? Well, in FreeBSD we've got solid Bt848 support in place, and a TV app that does direct video (given a compatible video card). It can also do color conversion on the CPU so TV is supported with most video modes and cards. Plenty of bells and whistles still out there to implement though. Feel free to check out these URLs: http://multiverse.com/~rhh/fxtv/ http://freebsd.org/~fsmp/HomeAuto/Bt848.html Most of the FreeBSD Bt848 folks monitor the multimedia@freebsd.org list. Please feel free to mail me and/or the list if you have any questions. Listserv addr is Majordomo@freebsd.org if you want to subscribe. There's a Linux bt848 driver out there too. Last I heard, it didn't support direct video yet though. Randall Hopper rhh@ct.picker.com
