A few of my coworkers and I have been working with a pentium FreeBSD box
(kernel 2.2.1) using the SDL RISCom N2 pci router card, single port model.
The problem we are experiencing is that packets transmit to and from the
machine when a connection is initiated from the outside, but when
initiated from the box itself, no connection is possible.

We've determined why packets cannot be initiated from the machine, but
cannot fix it. For example, we initiate a ping from the bsd box to a linux
box. In reality, the bsd box has an ip of x.x.x.2, but the ping shows up
on the linux box as the router card's ip of x.x.x.206. Therefore, no
connection is possible because the packet seems to come from x.x.x.206
(the router card) which in reality has not.

If anybody has any ideas whatsoever, please drop an email to
cpm01@gnofn.org. Thanks

Craig
