The /stand/sysinstall does work but not consistently. Sometimes an operation needs to be repeated to `take'. But there are a few loose ends. 1) Where can the needed information be located for having fvwm95rc actually start fvwm95 instead of fvwm? The FreeBSD book is informative but lacks a few little details. 2) When getting email via pop3 it downloads ok, but does not go into my mailbox. Local mail does. 3) lpd works, but why does it take so long on a dot matrix printer? What am I missing here? btw FreeBSD appears to be quicker than Linux 2.0.27. Life is a learning experience. if you can read a path you can figure out the address. -- IHS, pavanas I am not ashamed, as your friends are, to confess that I do not know what I do not know.
