	HI. I am running FreeBSD 2.2-RELEASE. I have a
dual-homed sever. My ethernet card (ep0) in connected to
my lan. My modem (tun0) is connected to my ISP. Here
is some network info about my machine:

% hostname
gateway
%
% cat /etc/hosts
127.0.0.1	localhost # My FreeBSD box
192.168.0.1	gateway # My FreeBSD box
192.168.0.2	othermachine # another machine on my lan

%
%

Heres my problem: When I run:

% lynx http://localhost/

It works fine and loads my home page.

When I run Netscape Navigator 3.01 in X11R6 and go to:

http://localhost/

I get the error message of: Netscape is unable to locate the
sever localhost The sever does not have a DNS entry.

Why won't netscape check my /etc/hosts file FIRST then
go to the DNS sever?? Any help will be appericated. Thanks.
