I find it unlikely that FreeBSD java We have someone working on a JDK 1.1 port right now <hsu@freebsd.org> and he hopes to be finished in another couple of weeks. It's also fairly likely that if one free OS group can get flexible licensing out of javasoft, the rest will be able to also. Most corporate types don't draw much distinction between the various free variants (it being generally incomprehensible to them why *anyone* would give away a product with so much work invested for free :-) so if they've relaxed on the idea of licensing to free os's in general, and it's unlikely that anyone inside Javasoft has got a woodie for Linux specifically, signs are good. --- - Jordan Hubbard FreeBSD core team / Walnut Creek CDROM.
