A: It depends. The newer releases not only have security fixes, but the
2.2 line also provides a bunch of new features etc. If you are
satisfied with 2.1.5, go ahead. Otherwise, upgrade.

A: No. There cannot be, if you think about it. (The bootblock is loaded
into memory by the BIOS, and gets full control. It's not a question
whether a partition is to be marked as active, but if you want to switch
back, you need a boot manager on the second disk as well, since a simple
bootstrap doesn't offer you the required features.)

A: If they are correct, why not?

Q: How do you know they are correct?
A: Dunno. Examine jumpers. Use PCI only (and don't care). I don't have
   what you call `Windows 95' anyway. ;-)

A: If it pretends to be a NE2000 clone, configure the ed0 device for its
hardware settings. Loopback testing is hard. Setup your Win95 machine
to use TCP/IP, and ping it, or use the telnet client from the Win95
   box.
