Same here, adaptec 2940 controller and IBM dfhs 4.3 GB drives.
While booting I get the message: "unxecpected extended message 1"

the above boot.default lines put the controller in Wide mode witch we dont use so no solution here either..

When I use an Buslogic SCSI controller everything is just fine.
