I posted to comp.unix.bsd.freebsd.misc but got no info. Interestingly, the amd distributd with 2.2.1 works just fine. I suspect it's got something to do with the switch to NFSv3, but I haven't looked into it much. I just use 2.2.1. Guess I'll send a bug report. Pete
