Does vic.bktr support PAL ?

vic: meteor sees no signal(1)-using ntsc.
I can't get vic-bktr to get a clean signal from the bt848-card.
I'm using the xtvr for changing channels etc...
And I've selected a channel etc with fxtv before I started
vic.bktr.
does i exist an option for vic.bktr so it uses PAL ?
or should the brooktree848.c be changed so PAl is selected as
standard ?
Any tips ?
I've searched through the multimedia-mailinlist etc but can't find
any onfo about this.
It seems that everyone is using NTSC with vic.bktr out there ? :-(
