I'm having a problem getting my tape drive to work in BSD/OS. Here
are the details:

Adaptec 1502 ISA (no BIOS) - Detects just fine.
HP SureStore 6400/2000 SCSI2 - Probes just fine.

I toss a tape into the drive and try to dump 0uf /dev/nrst0 /home..
(or tar, or mt..)

I get these errors whenever anything touches the tape:

Anyone have any ideas? Please e-mail..

Much Thanks,
