However, there do seem to be problems with the 2940U and UW drivers which cause trouble under heavy load. (May have been fixed in 2.2.2 - don't know.) I also understand that the 2940U (I think) has been described by some as a fatally flawed design. I may be wrong but I suspect 2.2.2 was released so close to 2.2.1 because of Adaptec driver problems and it seems that most like to use Adaptecs. With all the discussions on this, I suppose it would be nice if the Adaptec driver guru (Justin Gibbs ?) could come up with a 1 pager summarising the trials and tribulations of Adaptec models (& maybe firmware revisions as well) and OS revisions.
